Consultancy / SHEQ and operational risk
Health and safety that reaches the work.
Competent-person support across health and safety, environment and quality, built around how your work is actually done.
The problem
Safety, environmental and quality failures often share the same root causes: unclear responsibility, weak planning, inadequate competence, poor contractor control, ineffective supervision, or actions that are raised but never closed.
What PMSCS provides
- Competent-person advice and legal-control architecture
- Policies, procedures, risk assessment, RAMS and COSHH
- Workplace inspections, permits, hot work and isolation
- Workplace transport, work at height and work equipment
- Asbestos and silica interfaces, DSEAR, RPE and face-fit testing
- Incident and near-miss investigation and corrective action
- Environmental aspects, impacts and operational controls
- Quality: requirements, checks, nonconformity and lessons learned
How PMSCS works
The approach
PMSCS treats SHEQ as one operational discipline. Managing each area in isolation creates duplication without fixing the management weakness underneath.
The test for every control is whether the people doing and managing the work can actually apply it. In waste, recycling and heavy plant that means mobile plant, pedestrian segregation, isolation and vehicle movement. In construction and building services it means work at height, permits, subcontractors and occupied premises.
Culture is shaped by what managers tolerate, how quickly problems are corrected and whether people believe raising a concern leads to sensible action. PMSCS supports leadership visibility and behavioural safety without slogan campaigns.
What you are left with
Controls people actually follow
A RAMS process that changes how work is prepared
Investigations that remove causes, not just record events
Evidence that stands up to scrutiny
